Thelma Bernice Greene McGuire

Winston-Salem- Mrs. Thelma Bernice Greene McGuire, 89, passed away Friday, November 21, 2025 at Piedmont Crossing. She was born August 31, 1936 in Roan Mt., TN, the daughter of Bernie and Maggie Gibbs Greene. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. Thelma was a graduate of Cloudland High School and was a graduate L.P.N.. She enjoyed her cats, gardening and loved watching Television Ministries. Devoted to her family, she is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert George McGuire; her sister, Geneva Street and her two brothers, Linville Greene and Zeb Greene. Survivors include her two sons, Scott McGuire (Marci) of Kernersville and Stephen McGuire of Lexington, NC; a sister, Geraldine Green Arwood of Elizabethton, TN; two grandchildren, Joshua and Autumn McGuire and many nieces, nephews and friends. A graveside service will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, November 26, 2025, in Cook Cemetery, Elk Park, NC with Rev. Francis Smith officiating. The family will receive friends after the service. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
