Thelma Winters Russell

Mrs. Thelma Elizabeth Winters Russell, 92, passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2016. She was born August 20, 1924 in Forsyth County to the late Solomon Roosevelt Winters, and Annie Belle Winters. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her parents, one sister, and one grandson. She is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, William Lee Russell; four children, Alvin Russell, Calvin Russell (Sharon), Nancy Booth, William Russell Jr. (Susan); two brothers, Ray Winters (Evelyn), Buddy Winters (Janice); five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted 2:00 Monday, November 21, 2016 at Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall with Pastor Tim Day Officiating. The family will receive friends from 4 PM to 6 PM Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Hayworth-Miller Chapel Rural Hall. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
