Mrs. Theresa Brendle Cranford, 69, passed away at her home, surrounded by her family on Tuesday, May 14, 2024. She was born in Guilford Co. on April 27, 1955, the daughter of the late Samuel Ernest Brendle and Katherine Ann Clinard Brendle. Theresa was an amazing stay-at-home mama and once her children were older, she became a respected figure at Northside Bowling Lanes. She was a bowling fanatic and possessed a great talent. Theresa fought Parkinson’s Disease with a rare strength and powerful grace, that inspired even the most hopeless spirit. She was always present with a loving, patient, and humble heart, who will be missed by all who knew her. Theresa had a free inner spirit and a fascination with all things: fairies, birds, and supernatural. Her boxer dog “Lewis” was her greatest companion, and we know he was waiting on her in Heaven. She loved watching AFV, and we could hear her contagious laughter fill the whole house. Theresa adored all babies and loved them as if they were her own. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Mark Brendle. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 50 years, Eddie Cranford; a son, Jeb Cranford and wife Krista; a daughter, Sarah James and husband Antwan; her four beloved and cherished grandchildren, Kaylee, Chloe, Jacob and Devon; and two sisters, Marie McCabe and Kitty Brewer. A gathering to celebrate Theresa’s life will be held on Sunday, May 19, 2024, from 3:00-5:00 at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to any legitimate Pro-Life Organization.
