Thomas Neil Shaw

Mr. Thomas Neil Shaw, 80, passed away on Tuesday March 12, 2024, after a short battle with cancer. He was born on September 7, 1943, to the late Frederick Shaw and Gertrude Brennan Shaw in Providence, Rhode Island.

Thomas loved fast cars and faster motorcycles. He had a serious love for dogs of all kinds. Thomas served in the United States Navy as an RT3. After his military service, he went to work for AT&T for 30 years before his retirement. Thomas was also a very patriotic man. He was a strong man and remained strong during his illness, a common saying of his was, “I’m still kicking, just not as high or as often.”

Along with his parents, Thomas is preceded in death by his brother Fred Shaw; nephew Chris Shaw; and grandsons Justin Blackburn and Dylan Vanhoy. He is survived by his children Lance (Sandy) Shaw, Richard (Laura) Shaw, Melissa Shaw, and Kimberly (Jonathan) Sweet; a brother Mike (Joan) Shaw; many nieces and nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Monday March 18, 2024, from 6pm-8pm at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek.
