Tom was born and raised in Montour Falls, NY. Upon graduating high school in 1965 he earned his BS from Academy of Aeronautics in Flushing, NY. He was drafted into the United States Army in 1969 serving as a SP5 Senior Crawler Tractor Operator until his discharge in 1975.
Tom’s love of Aeronautics took him into a lifetime of working in the Aerospace industry, which brought him to Florida. He spent many years working for companies including Cavair, Honeywell Aerospace, ultimately landing at Triumph Aerospace in Clemmons, NC. He was the Manager for the Repair Station and had many employees whose love, admiration and respect for him was limitless.
In addition to Tom’s love of anything Aerospace, he enjoyed fishing, watching NASCAR, baseball, and football. While Tom was healthy enough, he cherished walking his beloved “Katie Bug”, stopping along the way to chat with his wonderful neighbors. And above all else, he truly loved spending time with his beloved family. Tom was a mentor to anyone who ever needed help with anything. He had a heart of gold, a warm smile, an infectious laugh, and a wonderful sense of humor. His absence leaves a hole in the hearts of everyone who has ever known or encountered him.
Private services will be held at a later date. Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel is assisting the family.
