Thurman Saunders

Mr. Thurman Evert "Junior" Saunders, 72, passed away Friday, December 1, 2017 at the Comprehensive Cancer Center at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. He was born in Forsyth County on June 17, 1945 to Mary Greene Saunders and the late Thurman Everette Saunders Sr. Thurman proudly served his country in the United States Navy. In addition to his mother, Thurman is survived by his loving wife, Leslie Saunders; a brother, Rick Saunders of Tobaccoville; two sisters, Diane Tuttle and Karen Burick both of Rural Hall; numerous nieces and nephews, and many loving friends and family. A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday, December 10, at Calvary Baptist Church in King with the Rev. Kevin Broyhill officiating.
