Timothy Ray Chilton

Timothy “Tim” Ray Chilton, 66, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, surrounded by loved ones. He was born to Vera Gammons Chilton and the late Jimmy Ray Chilton on January 31, 1960. Tim will be remembered for the love and loyalty he shared with those who had the pleasure of knowing him. He was a kind man and always supported and cared for his family and friends. Tim was known as “Mr. Fix It” and took pride in learning new skills to manage and repair things he had no prior knowledge of. To know Tim was to love him.

Surviving are his wife, Robyn Chilton; two daughters, Olivia Wood (Eli) and Abbey Chilton; his mother, Vera Chilton; two brothers, Aaron Chilton and Mark Chilton; and was waiting the arrival of his grandson, “Baby Wood”. Tim is also survived by two granddogs, Kindle and Ember; many special extended family members, especially his brother-in-law, Bryan McSwain; his many special friends and very special beach friends.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the hardworking staff at both Wesley Long Hospital Cancer Center and Trellis Supportive care for their unwavering support and kindness during such a hard time.

A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel with Pastor Derrick Britt officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the Chapel.
