Timothy Curtis

Mr. Timothy “Tim” Mark Curtis, 54, died on Sunday, November 11, 2018, at Forsyth Medical Center. Timothy was born on April 17, 1964, in Canandaigua, NY, to Albert William and Florence Secor Curtis. He graduated in 1982 from Marcus Whitman Central School in Rushville, NY, where he wrestled and played percussion in the school band. Tim furthered his education at Alfred State University, in Alfred, NY, where he earned an Associate’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and continued on to High Point University in High Point, NC, where he ultimately earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He worked for Phoenix Contact until recently beginning a new endeavor with ESSCO Electric Service and Sales as a Sales Engineer. Tim was a NASCAR fan and enjoyed riding his motorcycle, and racing with U.S. Legend Cars International. He adored his children, both of whom he was very proud. He volunteered in their activities and coached their ball teams. He shared his love for racing with his son, Noah, through a season of Quarter Midget racing and enjoyed target shooting with him. Tim shared his love of music with both his children and passed down his talent with percussion to his daughter, Sarah. He encouraged her musical ability by faithfully attending her many lessons. Tim was adventurous with a great sense of humor, he was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Nola Curtis Cyphert. Surviving are his two loving children, Noah Curtis and Sarah Curtis; one sister, Pamela Curtis; and two brothers, William Curtis (Deborah) and Robert Curtis (Holly). A memorial service will be held at 4pm on Wednesday, November 14, 2018, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
