Timothy Lee Phillips

Timothy Lee Phillips, 74, of Clemmons, NC, in Davidson County, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, September 21st.

Tim was born on June 5th, 1952, to Cloie Wishon and Marvin Phillips. He lived a full and wonderful life surrounded by family, friends, and neighbors who meant so much to him. Tim had a way of making people feel welcome, cared for, and at home.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Cloie; his father, Marvin; his brother, Allen; his daughter, Kendra Joyce; and his great-granddaughter, Halie Goad.

Tim leaves behind his beloved wife, Sherry, whom he affectionately called “PoohBear”; his sons, TJ (Dileana) and Michael Goad (Loretta); his sisters, Melanie Holcomb (Jim) and Lori; and his grandchildren, who lovingly called him “Papa Tim.” He loved his family deeply and was proud of each of them.

He leaves behind grandaughters Whitney Puryear (Jessica), Carol Cornick-Wall (Chris), Symone Phillips, grandsons Justin Goad (Michelle), and Jason Goad (Alma); great-granddaughters Mikayla, Ellie, Wrenleigh, and Claira; and great-grandsons Charlie, Jaxxon, whom he lovingly called his “little buddy,” Silas, and Weston.

Tim loved the outdoors, the beach, and riding around in his golf cart. He especially enjoyed spending time with family, friends, and neighbors, sharing stories, laughing, while enjoying a cold one. He was happiest when surrounded by the people he loved.

Tim worked for Carolane Propane as a district manager for more than 30 years before retiring. He was proud of his years there, but his family was always the most important part of his life. He was someone you could count on, always caring about those around him and willing to help whenever he could.

Tim will be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. To his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, he was Papa Tim, and the love they shared will always remain special. His laughter, kindness, and memories will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved him.

Tim will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and neighbors.

There will be no formal funeral service. Instead, the family will celebrate Tim’s life together, with details to be announced at a later date.
