Timothy "Tim" Alan Slack

Mr. Timothy “Tim” Alan Slack, 67, passed away Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at SECU Hospice Home in Yadkinville, NC. He was born on January 21, 1958, in Sarnia Ontario, Canada to the late William Henry Slack and Prisicilla Mealey Slack. Tim enjoyed spending time with his family, watching baseball, and fishing. If you knew Tim, you knew he had a great sense of humor.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Cynthia Hambright; granddaughter, Keiana Slack; stepson, Anthony Rickmon. Tim is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Lynn Slack; two daughters, Jessica Fountain (Jeff), Janet Slack (Jose’ Galarza), and Madalynn Slack-Acevedo whom he cared for as a daughter; six grandchildren Julius Acevedo, Isahia Acevedo, Jeffrey Fountain, III, Yosiah Acevedo, Kayla Rickmon, and Austin Rickmon; brother, Victor Slack (Diana); sister, Karen Doub (Larry); step-mother, Lynn Zellar Slack; four nieces; one nephew; and one sister-in-law, Terri Honeycutt.

A celebration of life service will be conducted at 2pm Sunday, December 7, 2025, at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall, NC with Pastor Greg Hall officiating. Inurnment will follow at Rural Hall Memorial Park. The family will receive friends hour prior at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, PO Box 325, Dobson, NC, 27017 or to SECU Hospice Home.
