Mr. Timothy Andrew Cox, affectionally known as “Timbob”, passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born on November 14, 1953, the son of the late Ralph L. Cox and Beatrice Bennett Cox. Timbob graduated from N. Forsyth High School and spent three years at ASU. He retired from Phillip Morris Tobacco Co. and from Stokes Co. Schools, where he worked as an Exceptional Children’s Assistant at West Stokes High School. In retirement he enjoyed working as a delivery driver for Modern Nissan. Much time was spent researching diners along his routes, always having his order planned out from the online menu. Timbob never met a meal he didn’t love. He loved food, fellowship, family and friends, and is now seated at the right hand of the Father at the biggest banquet table we can imagine. Timbob was an avid sports fan and loved his “Demon Deacon’s”! He loved spending time at the family farm in Hillsville, VA. Timbob loved to laugh and joke and make others laugh. He was always the life of the party and will always be remembered for his sweet and kind soul. He was the best! In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Scott Cox; his mother-in-law, Ruby Scott; and brothers-in-law, Tim Scott, Kevin Scott and Doug Perkins. Tim is survived by two brothers, Steve Cox (Judy) and Thad Cox (Sonya); a sister-in-law, Bonnie Perkins; two nephews, Will Perkins (Caroline) and Elijah Cox (Lauryn); Nieces, Mindy Marion (Scott), Jennifer Cox, Savannah Eaton (Brandon) Hayley Cox, Brettan Cox, Katie Vause (Steve) and Abbey Nunez; and his very special great-nieces and nephews, Clover, Bear, Anchor & Oak Eaton, Emory & Gibson Perkins, Ethan & Emma Vause, Jacob & Cassidy Marion, and little Eloise Cox. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 2, 2024, at First Christian Church in King with Glen VanMeter, Minister and Peter Cain, Minster officiating. Burial will follow at 3:00 Monday, September 2, 2024, in Glen Alpine United Methodist Church Cemetery in Morganton, NC.
