Tommie Ray Clifton

Mr. Tommie Ray Clifton, age 61 of Rural Hall passed away Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Tommie was born in Stokes County, May 28, 1955 to Donald Ray Clifton and Virginia Ann Johnson Clifton. He was an avid NASCAR fan and had a deep passion for Harley Davidson Motorcycle's. Tommie retired from R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company with 25 plus years of service. He was of the Baptist faith. Tommie was preceded in death by his father, Donald Ray Clifton, one sister, Donna C. Wilson and a Step-father, Jimmy Slate. Tommie is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Stacie (Ryan) Ambrosy of Winston-Salem. One grandson, Landen Ambrosy. One brother, Ronald (Anita) Clifton of Rural Hall. His mother, Ann Slate of King. Two step-brothers; Terry Slate and Kent Slate both of King. Several nieces and nephews. A casual graveside service will be held Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Mt. View Baptist Church Cemetery in King by Pastor Gene Lawson. There will be no formal visitation. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Mt. View Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 1042 Mt. View Church Road, King, NC 27021. Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall is serving the Clifton family.
