Mr. Tony Phillip Allen, 66, of Lewisville, went home to his Heavenly Father on October 30, 2016. He was born in Wythe County, Virginia on January 1st, 1950 to Charles Leslie Allen and Emma Easter Allen. Mr. Allen was a devoted and loving family man. He loved to serve others and lived a life filled with kindness, gentleness, caring, and compassion. He was an avid golfer who loved to play, and patiently taught the sport to others. He also found great joy in community service through volunteering, spending time with his family, and watching Carolina Tar Heel sports. He lived a life that reflected selflessness, compassion, and caring. He will be greatly missed by his family and his many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings Elaine, Louise, and Shelby. Surviving are his wife, Wendy Allen, his son, Logan Allen, his daughter, Dr. Kellie Griggs (Sterling Griggs), four grandchildren (Chandler, Reynolds, Deacon, and Emmerson), siblings Johnny Allen (Teresa), Ruth Lawson (Jimmy), David Allen (Tonia), Anne Snow (late H.W. Snow), father-in-law, Lt. Col. Gene Harbuck (Bonnie), sisters and brothers-in-law, Beth Harbuck, John Harbuck (Sarah), David Harbuck, special nieces and nephews Lynn Lawson (his caring angel), Mitchel Allen (Michelle), Daniel Allen (Nicole), Evan Allen, Tevis Nance, Corey Richardson, Jennifer Richardson, Amanda Harbuck, Connor Harbuck, Sydney Harbuck, Lisa Shreve (Tim), Mark Snow (Beverly), Jeffrey Snow (Carrie), Timothy Snow (Stephanie), Barry Parks, Dwayne Parks, Ryan Smith, and Andrea Smith, Daniel Lunsford, and Aaron Allen along with many other beloved nieces, nephews, and friends. The family would like to give a special thank you to Carol Blackstock and Mr. Allen's friends from work at HAECO, for all their amazing love and support through this difficult time. Your kindness will not be forgotten. His funeral service will be held at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Lewisville, NC with the Rev. Sterling Griggs officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30-2 PM with the service immediately following at 2:00 PM. A processional to Westlawn Gardens of Memory for burial will be held after the service. Hayworth-Miller Funeral Service is serving the Allen family. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made in his honor to ""The First Tee of the Triad"" which positively impacts young lives through golf.
