Tracee Ann Keyser Teague

Tracee Ann (Keyser) Teague, 69, of King, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at home on July 23, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on February 20, 1957, in Knoxville, Tennessee, Tracee was the daughter of the late Hazen Everand Keyser and Susan Jean (Goodier) Keyser.

Tracee was best known for the love she shared with others, especially children. After earning her degree in Early Childhood Education from Surry Community College, she dedicated much of her life to nurturing, teaching, and caring for young children. She had a gift for making children feel safe, valued, and loved, and the impact she made on countless young lives will continue for years to come.

Outside of her career, Tracee found joy in creating beauty wherever she went. She had a remarkable talent for gardening, cultivating both vibrant flower gardens and abundant vegetable gardens with patience and care. She was also exceptionally artistic, expressing her creativity in countless ways. Her unmistakable laugh could light up a room and remains one of the many things her family and friends will forever cherish.

Above all else, Tracee's greatest love was her family. She shared an extraordinary love story with her soulmate and high school sweetheart, Richard W. Teague. Together they spent 52 years building a life rooted in love, faithfulness, and unwavering devotion. Their marriage was a testament to enduring love, friendship, and commitment.

Tracee is survived by her beloved husband of 52 years, Richard W. Teague; her children, Nathan Teague and his wife, Sharla, and Ashley Teague and life partner, Lauren; her cherished grandchildren, Odin, David, Padraic, Eavenly, Layla, Emilie, and Jupiter; her sisters, Karen Metcalf and her husband, Thom, and Bonnie Bullard and her husband, Jeff; along with many extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.

Tracee was preceded in death by her parents, Hazen Everand Keyser and Susan Jean (Goodier) Keyser.

Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in the memories she leaves behind - in every blooming flower, every child's smile, and every burst of laughter that reminds us of her own. Her kindness, creativity, unwavering devotion, and unconditional love for her family will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.
