Traci Broughton

Mrs. Traci Churchwell Broughton, 55, passed away peacefully and surrounded by loved ones, on Tuesday October 17th, 2017 at Forsyth Medical Center. She left this world as a tremendous wife, mother, daughter, friend, and most distinctively a warrior. Traci faced every obstacle with class, tenacity, and with the support of her family. She cared for many things in this life, but most importantly she cherished her family, friends and her beloved church family at Pine Grove United Methodist. She was an avid reader, beach goer, leader throughout her career and community, as well as a Clemson Graduate and always supported her Tigers.

Traci was born on October 27th 1961 in Pickens County, SC to Billy Max Churchwell and Barbara Crowe Spann. In addition to her father, Traci was preceded in death by her step-father, Chuck Spann. She is survived by her husband, Travis Broughton, whom she has been with for 26 years; two daughters, Shelby and Abbie Broughton; one son/nephew, Jacob Repokis and wife Chelsey; one grandson, Eli Repokis; mother, Barbara Spann, one sister, Kim Repokis; and her in-laws, Ken and Brenda Broughton.

A funeral service for Traci will be held on Friday, October 20, 2017, at 11:00am, Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel, with Rev. Will Van Wieren officiating. Burial will follow the service at Pine Grove United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends following the graveside service in the church fellowship hall.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made the Pine Grove United Methodist Church Parking Lot Fund, 1018 Piney Grove Rd. Kernersville, NC 27284.
