Trenton "Trent" Wayne Tilley

Trenton “Trent” Wayne Tilley, 27, of Winston-Salem, NC, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 15, 2024, at Northside Hospital Gwinnett in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Trent was born on December 10, 1996, in Forsyth County to Johnny Tilley and April Covington Tilley. He embraced life with a passion, especially for music, skateboarding and his family. Trent was characterized by his unwavering determination.  His belief in his abilities was steadfast, and he pursued life with relentless enthusiasm.  His love knew no bounds and he extended it freely to everyone he encountered.  Trent had a remarkable ability to connect with people effortlessly, never meeting a stranger.  He cherished relationships deeply and his genuine affection was reciprocated by all who knew him.  If you ever received a hug from Trent, you walked away knowing he meant it.

Trent was preceded in death by a brother, Tyler Wayne Tilley; grandparents, Richard and Mary Tilley; and a grandfather, Rick Covington. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Trace Lee Tilley; his stepmom, Angie Tilley; a stepsister, Raygan Harmel; a grandmother, Linda “Gigi” Covington; an uncle, Ricky Tilley; godparents, Walt, and Tammy Davis; and a girlfriend, Dominique Whaley. 

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm on Sunday, April 21, 2024, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. A celebration of life reception will follow in the Robert F. Miller Center located at the funeral home. While our hearts are broken for the loss of Trent, we do have comfort in the knowledge that he was able to be the hero in the lives of three people as an organ donor.
