Trilba Hester

Mrs. Trilba Ruth Simmons Hester, 91, passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at her home.  She was born February 16, 1927 in Stokes County to the late Edgar Ossie Simmons and Naomi Ruth Lankford Simmons.  Mrs. Hester was a faithful member of Woodland Baptist Church.  She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister.  In addition to her parents Trilba is preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Reid Mabe; daughter, Linda Ruth Mabe; grandson, Jason Alan Elder; brother, Ray Simmons; and two sisters, Clarice Amick and Nell Belaney.  She is survived by her daughter, Joan Blakely (Jimmy Mchone); son, Wayne Mabe (Sharon); granddaughter, Tracy Baker (Scott); grandson, Sam Mabe; great-granddaughter, Shaylen Elder; two great-grandsons, Christian Mabe and Jackson Baker; sister, Shirley Mckinney (Raeford); and brother, Bill Simmons (Nancy).  A graveside service will be conducted 2:00 PM Sunday, November 25 at the Simmons Family Cemetery, 4579 NC 89, Westfield, NC 27053, with Pastor Tim Gammons and Brother Vick Pyle officiating.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Senior Services of Forsyth County, 2895 Shorefair Drive, Winston-Salem, NC 27105.  Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
