Trudie Shackelford Richardson

Mrs. Trudie Shackelford Richardson, 91, of Winston-Salem, passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2014 at The Oaks at Forsyth. Mrs. Richardson was born on February 13, 1923 in Stokes County, NC to James Buchanan Shackelford and Nelia Kiser Shackelford. Trudie was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church in Winston-Salem. She retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company in 1988 after 18 ½ years of service. Mrs. Richardson was preceded in death along with her parents by her husband, Stephen Eli Richardson, Sr.; son, Stephen Eli Richardson, Jr. Mrs. Richardson is survived by her son, John Donald Richardson of Winston-Salem; two grandchildren, Ella Lynn Richardson and John Stephen Richardson, both of Winston-Salem; and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at Forsyth Memorial Park with Rev. Terry Rausch officiating.
