Uva Dell Myers Harper

Winston-Salem Mrs. Uva Myers Harper, 80, passed away Sunday, February 16, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born in Wilkes County on May 15, 1933 to the late Evy Vance and May Alexander Myers. Mrs. Harper was a dedicated Christian person. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church where she enjoyed singing in the church choir. Mrs. Harper loved her family especially her grandchildren. Preceding her in death was her husband, Thomas Frank Harper; sisters, Agnes and Mattie and a brother, Bill. Surviving are three sons, Richard Harper (Tina), Steve Harper (Renee) and Jay Harper (Crystal); five grandchildren, John Thomas Harper, Aaron Lee Harper, Elliott Ross Harper, Shane Matthew Harper, and Ean David Harper; also surviving are several loving nieces and nephews and three special friends, Sue, Thelma, and the Huffman family. A funeral service will be held 12:00 noon Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at Antioch Baptist Church with Rev. Brett Kitko officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
