Vickie Wishon Capra

Mrs. Vickie Kates Wishon Capra, 76, of Winston-Salem, NC, passed away on September 12, 2025, at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.

Vickie was born on August 20, 1949, in Forsyth County, to the late Mr. Warren Shore and Mildred Kates Shore. She worked for the City of Winston-Salem for many years as an administrative assistant, serving the Housing Department and the Police Department. Following many years of service, she left the workforce to spend time and travel with her husband.

She had an immense love for her family and was always present for each and everyone of her loved ones. Her presence will be deeply missed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in passing by her soulmate, Dalton Wishon.

Mrs. Capra will be loving remembered by her son, Kenneth Davis; sister, Gail Abee, a brother, Johnny Shore; a niece, Nicole and nephew, Sawyer.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens with Pastor Jason Holley officiating. There will be no formal visitation.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Trellis Supportive Care, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
