Viki Delores Ragsdale Williams, born on September 22, 1949, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on October 14, 2017. Preceding her in death were her husband Melton Clark Williams, parents Clifton & Eula Ragsdale, and brother Gordon Ragsdale. Surviving are her children - son Mark (Jennifer) Williams, son Paul (Roxanna) Williams, daughter Kami Williams, grandchildren - Daniel, Joshua, Tucker, Isaac and Kara, brother Terry (Claudia) Ragsdale, niece Robin (Brian) Layman, and grandnephew and grandniece Hunter and Emma.
Viki grew up in Cascade, VA and trusted Christ as her Savior when she was 8 years old. When 12, she gave her life to the Lord to serve Him. Throughout her lifetime, the Lord gave her many opportunities for service. She attended Piedmont Baptist College where she met and married her husband. Together they had the privilege of serving the Lord with Baptist Mid-Missions, serving in Canada and Montana. Through the years, Viki counted it a joy to serve in many areas including missionary wife and mother, pastor's wife, Christian school teacher, Sunday School teacher, and most recently, as Pastor's Secretary at Salem Baptist Church for 16 years, retiring on April 30 of 2017.
A celebration of life service will be held on October 18, 2017 at 2 PM Salem Baptist Church, - 429 S. Broad St. Winston-Salem, NC. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Gardens, Rural Hall, NC. The family will receive friends on October 18, 2017 at 1 PM at Salem Baptist Church, - 429 S. Broad St. Winston-Salem, NC.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103, or to the Melton Williams Fund for Missions, Salem Baptist Church, 429 S. Broad St., Winston-Salem, NC 27101.
