Viola Laura Canter Coffey

Mrs. Viola Laura Canter Coffey, 74, of Yadkinville, NC, passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2017. Viola was born in Watauga County, NC on May 15, 1943, to the late Frank and Lillie Canter. She was a certified nursing assistant and employed for many years with Autumn Care of Mocksville and Willowbrook Rehab and Care Center of Yadkinville. Viola was of the Baptist faith and belonged to the family of God. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Thomas Coffey; one daughter, Linda Kathleen Main and nine brothers. Viola is survived by four children, Billy Icenhour (Dolly) of Todd, NC, Franklin Icenhour (Tina) of Yadkinville, NC, Freddie Icenhour (Etta) of Yadkinville, NC, and Brenda Ryggs (David) of Clemmons, NC; thirteen grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and one sister, Dorothy Miller (George) of Hickory, NC. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, June 30, 2017, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday, June 29, 2017, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
