Violet Gray Kimel

Mrs. Violet Elizabeth Gray Kimel, 95, passed away on December 16, 2023, at Vienna Village in Pfafftown, North Carolina. 

She was born on December 30, 1927, to the late Blain Banister Gray and Mamie Patrick Gray in Forsyth County, NC.

Violet was a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church. She retired from Kimel Flower Shop.  

In addition to her parents, Violet was preceded in death by her husband, John Kimel.  

She is survived by her son, Mike Kimel (Betty Ann); grandson, Scot Kimel, granddaughter, Carla Lefever (Casey); and great-grandchildren, Heather and Willow Kimel. 

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Mary Miller officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
