Virgil 'Bub' William Kiger, Sr.

Mr. Virgil ""Bub"" William Kiger, Sr. age 86 of Rural Hall passed away Sunday, January 12, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Mr. Kiger was born in Forsyth County, May 30, 1927 to the late Ernest William and late Dora Elizabeth Cox Kiger. He was a member and Deacon of Red Bank Missionary Baptist Church in Germanton. Mr. Kiger retired from Hanes Dye and Finishing with 45 years of service. Mr. Kiger is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mary Kiger of the home. Two sons: Ricky (Sheila) Kiger and Sonny (Janet) Kiger both of Germanton. Three grandsons, two granddaughters, two step-grandsons and three great granddaughters. One sister, Frances Kramer of Oregon. A host of brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mr. Kiger will be held Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at Red Bank Missionary Baptist Church in Germanton by Pastor Gary Sanders. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church Tuesday, January 14th from 1:00 P.M. until time of the funeral service.
