Virginia Blevins Bauguess

Kernersville - Virginia Blevins Bauguess, 87, died Monday, January 23, 2017 at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital. Virginia was born on May 31, 1929 in Wilkes County to Lonnie and Ada Bell Blevins. She was a huge Nascar fan, loved to sew and watch birds. In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Bauguess; a daughter, Barbara Bauguess; and a brother, Rufus Blevins. Surviving are two grandchildren, Jason Crews (Mary) and Kristi Dorton (Scott); seven great grandchildren, Chris McBride, Robert Ballard, Courtney Ballard, Peyton Dorton, Adam Crews, Kendyl Crews and Paisley Dorton; five great great grandchildren; three sisters, Vea Blevins (Ray), Peggy Greene and Ivalee Ellis; a sister-in-law, Eva Blevins; special friends and neighbors, Jim & Peggy Hamlet and Charlie & Darlene Crutchfield. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
