Virginia Louise (Wall) Parisi, 81 of Jamestown, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at Hospice Home of High Point. Virginia was born on October 7, 1937 in Forsyth County to the late Henry and Evelyn Wall. She was a member of First Pentecostal Holiness Church of Winston-Salem. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Thomas Allen Wall, Sr. Surviving family includes her "sweet heart" and devoted husband of 21 years, Dennis; and her three nephews and 4 great nephews, 3 great nieces, 1 great-great niece-all she loved and considered as her own kids: T.A. Wall, Jr.; wife Theresa, children Michelle(Allen) Burnette & Addison; Tim Wall, wife Cindy, children Ethan(Anne-Christian), Blake(Melanie), Levi & LydiaFay and Tony Wall, wife Lori, children Kyleigh & Cameron.
Known by her family and friends as “Ginny”, she attended Holmes Theological Seminary, Greenville SC and Emmanuel College, Franklin Springs GA. Ginny served as a Missionary for the Pentecostal Holiness Church from 1963 to 1965. While there Ginny worked with Joe and Elsie Arthur among many others. Her ministry continues through lifelong relationships and continued support of missionaries working in Africa today.
Prior to her retirement she was employed by National Health Laboratories which later became LabCorp.
Ginny loved her family and her family was very important to her. She did extensive ancestry research for the Wall, Cumbo and Lineback family lines. She loved her family history and was very proud of being able to know the details of her family. Through her research she was able to join the Daughters of the Confederacy, Guilford County NC Chapter 301 in 2005. As a very active member she served as Chapter Vice-President 2006-2008, District IV. She organized and designed the yearbook and she designed the Guilford 301 Ad that was published in the national issue of the UDC MAGAZINE for many years even when she was unable to attend meetings. Due to declining health she resigned in October 2017. Virginia was the epitome of a Southern Lady.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel, with Tim Wall and Rev. Joe Arthur officiating.
