Mrs. Vivian Tuttle Carter, 81, passed away Thursday, October 4, 2018.  She was born June 28, 1937 in Stokes County to the late Paul and Nina Tuttle.  Mrs. Carter was a faithful member of Freedom Baptist Church.  In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Judge Clarence W. Carter; two brothers, Alton Tuttle and Raeford Tuttle; and sister, Ronda Tuttle.  Mrs. Carter is survived by two children, Will Carter (Gloria) and Jason Carter (Claudia); four grandchildren: Allison Carter, Jessica Carter, William Carter, and Alley Tuttle; two brothers, Carlton Tuttle (Earline) and Arzell Tuttle; and several nieces and nephew.  A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 AM Saturday, October 6 at Freedom Baptist Church.  Burial will follow at King Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM prior to the service at the church.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Freedom Baptist Church, 1000 Rural Hall-Germanton Road, Rural Hall, NC 27045.  Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
