Vivian Marie Windsor Barbee

Vivian Marie Windsor Barbee, 73, of Winston-Salem, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2026, at her home surrounded by family.

Mrs. Barbee was born May 14, 1952, in Iredell County, to John Carl Windsor Jr. and Marie Reavis Windsor. Vivian had a passion for helping those in need and retired as an RN with over 40 years of service. She enjoyed crafts, gardening, and shopping in her spare time; as well as watching Carolina Hurricanes hockey games. She also greatly enjoyed donating to the Baptist Children’s Home in Thomasville, NC. Vivian was a longtime member of Maplewood Baptist Church. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Gary Wayne Barbee; her son, Terry Wayne Barbee; and her daughter, Meredith Ann Barbee.

Left to cherish her memory are her mother, Marie Windsor; her brother, Tim Windsor (Tammy); her sister in-law, Kathy Motsinger (Steve); three nephews, Daniel Windsor (Georgia), Jason Collins (Brandi), and Matthew Windsor; one niece, Elizabeth Windsor; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; and several cousins.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
