Volree Johnston

Mrs. Volree Richardson Johnston, 70, passed away Friday, May 24, 2019 at her home. She was born January 20, 1949 to the late Buster and Pauline Richardson. Volree loved her family more than anything. She loved to tend to them, and thoroughly enjoyed being with them, and doing for them. Surviving are her loving husband of 49 years, Richard Johnston, four children, Rebecca Ann Squanda (Vern), Volree Nicole Roebuck (Michael Porta), Myra Renee Johnston, Richard Cameron Johnston (Kayla), 14 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, two brothers, Jim Richardson (Betty), Kenneth Richardson, two sisters, Debra Freeman (Sammy) Edna Michael (Mikie), and many special nieces and nephews.A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at Triad Baptist Church with Dr. Rob Decker officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:00 – 10:45 AM at the church prior to the service. Burial will follow 3:00 PM Tuesday afternoon in Brown and Fowler Family Cemetery in Crumpler, NC. In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made to Gideons International, PO Box 140800 Nashville, TN 37214, or give to the local Gideon members.
