W. Ray Brinkley

Kernersville - W. Ray Brinkley, 84, passed away at his home, Saturday, July 23, 2016. Ray was born July 30, 1931 in Surry County to the late Aldie and Nonnie Bryant Brinkley. Ray was a member of Crestview Baptist Church. He retired from Kaiser Roth and also raised horses for many years. Ray enjoyed the game of golf, patronizing Maple Leaf Golf Course! He had a wonderful laugh that he shared with everyone! Ray was loved by his family and friends and will be dearly missed.

Surviving are his wife, Patricia Brinkley of the home; his brother, Jason Brinkley (wife, Cornelia); and many loving friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at Crestview Baptist Church with Wayne Cannada officiating. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 10:00 - 10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the church.
