Wahnell Hedger Wilson

Winston-Salem Mrs. Wahnell Hedger Wilson, 80, passed away Sunday, March 16, 2014 at her home. She was born June 11, 1933 in Lexington, KY to the late Aubra and Alpha Yates Hedger. Mrs. Wilson was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Lexington, KY. She enjoyed gardening and canning and was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Preceding her in death was her husband, Orville Lee Wilson and a brother, Eugene Hedger. Surviving are two daughters, Karen Malek (Jim) and Carla Meadows; five grandchildren, John Malek (Cheri), Cathy Malek, Brian Malek, Lorraine Norris (Jonathan), and Mark Malek; also surviving is a great-granddaughter, Ryland Malek. A funeral service will be held 4:00 PM Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Pastor John Malek officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2014 in Lexington, KY at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
