Walter Stewart

Mr. Walter Harrison Stewart, 75, of Belews Creek, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 3, 2019, at his home. Born in Chester, SC, he was the son of the late Woodrow B. Stewart and Vera Parker Stewart of Rock Hill, SC. Walter was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

Preceding him in death are his beloved wife, Elaine, of 49 years of marriage, and a sister, Helen Davis.Surviving are two daughters: Kelley Stewart of McConnells, SC and Karen Stewart (Ricky) of King; his son, Michael Stewart (Christine) of Winston-Salem; his only grandchild of whom he was so very proud of, Miss Brooke Harrison; two sisters Elizabeth Bragg (Charles) of Rock Hill, SC and Cathy Shelton (Steve) of Wilmington; as well as, seven nieces and nephews. The children of Walter would like to remember a special friend of their father, Martie Boles of Winston-Salem, who gave their dad much happiness in his last years.

A memorial service will be conducted in his honor 1:00 PM Monday, January 7, 2019 at Welcome Door Baptist Church, officiated by Pastor Brian Taylor.
