Wayne Blizard

Mr. Wayne Kent Blizard, 77, of Yadkinville passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born in Forsyth County to the late Everette Ernest Blizard, Jr. and Mary Trent Blizard on January 8, 1942. He was of the Baptist faith and attended Mountain View Baptist Church. Wayne retired from RJ Reynolds with over 35 years of loyal service. He loved NASCAR and was an avid fan. Wayne loved Gospel music and Gospel Quartets, in his younger years he sang in quite a few Quartets himself. Most importantly he loved his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandson. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Lynn Huie and brother, Ronnie Trent. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Judie Roberts Blizard; daughters Melissa Blizard Boggs and husband Tim of Newnan, GA; Angela Blizard Spach and husband Steve of Clemmons; grandchildren, Brandon Russell; Alex Spach and wife Hannah; Zach Spach; Madison Spach and great grandson, Hudson Spach; sisters, Martha Jo Burleson of Spruce Pine; Tanya B. Huie and husband Jr. of Winston-Salem; brother, Everette E. Blizard III of Lexington. The family will receive friends from 12:45-1:45PM Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Hayworth-Miller, Silas Creek.
