Wayne Lee Nussman

Mr. Wayne Lee Nussman, 73, passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at Willowbrook Rehab and Care. He was born in Mecklenburg County on February 5, 1953, to the late James Banks and Mary McPhail Reddeck Nussman. Wayne’s passion was Ice Hockey. He played amateur ice hockey for many years and loved long distance biking. He rode Cycle NC Mountains to Coast three different years after recovering from a stem cell transplant. He also loved trains and boats. He loved being out on his sailboat and spent many days and evenings on the water with Karen and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Beth, his brother Jeff, a brother-in-law promoted to brother Wayne.

Left to cherish his memory are; his loving wife Karen Nussman, one brother Jim Reddeck, and many nieces and nephews.

The family request that all who loved Wayne do something from their bucket list instead of sitting in a sad memorial service, live your life to the fullest just as Wayne always did.
