Wayne Oliver Parker

Wayne O. Parker, 70, of Winston-Salem, NC, went to be with the Lord on December 8, 2016.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Bernelle Parker of Mt. Airy, NC.
Wayne is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 50 years of marriage, Sue Parker; his children,
Todd Parker of Winston-Salem, NC, and David Parker and his wife, Jennifer, of Wilmington, NC, and his only grandchild, Coleman Parker, of Wilmington, NC.

Wayne shared a life with his wife as they worked together in the family owned business, Parker Tax Service. He was the past president of the NC Society of Accountants and was proud of his chosen profession.

Wayne, and his family, attended Edgewood Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, NC, for 30 years where he served as a Deacon of the church.

Wayne was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many. He will be missed, but not forgotten.

The family wishes that in lieu of flowers, that memorials be given to Edgewood Baptist Church.

The viewing and family visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Monday, December 12th, 2016, at Edgewood Baptist Church, 4067 Reidsville Road, Winston-Salem, NC, 27101. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am. The interment will be private and for the family only at Skyline Memory Gardens in Mt. Airy, NC.
Arrangements were made through Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home Silas Creek Chapel.
