Mr. Wendell Hill Eller, age 90, of Winston-Salem, NC, passed peacefully Saturday, June 1, 2024, at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 12, 1933, in Davidson County, NC, to the late Kermit Harrison Eller and Ethel Hill Eller.  Wendell was a loving husband to his wife of 63 years, Betty J. Eller, who survives.  

Wendell graduated from Midway High School, attended Catawba University before entering the U.S. Army, serving two years.  He retired from R.J. Reynolds with 33 years of service and was co-owner of The Golf Shop in Clemmons for several years, a past member of Pine Brook Country Club, Yadkin Senior Golf Group and Tar Heel Senior Golf Organization. He is survived by nieces, Angel Epperly, Rhonda (Paul) Caudill, Sherrie James, all of Fayetteville, NC, and Carmen (Darrel) Tackett, of Birmingham, AL; one great niece; and five great nephews.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM Thursday, June 6, 2024, at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel in Advance. Burial will be private at Westlawn Gardens of Memory in Clemmons. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trellis Supportive Care, 101 Hospice Ln. Winston-Salem, NC 27103. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com
