Willa Dean Joyce Cheek

Mrs. Willa Dean Joyce Cheek, 73, of Lewisville died Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born February 12, 1942 in Forsyth County, the daughter of the late, Charles Martin and Letha Love Joyce. Mrs. Cheek was a member of Lewisville United Methodist Church. She was employed by Hanes Hosiery and was retired from Lab Corp. She was a member of Wilshire Women's Golf Association and enjoyed the lake and traveling. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Curtis Joyce and Jerry Wayne Joyce. Survivors include her husband, Allen Gray Cheek of the home; two brothers, Rufus D. Joyce of Winston-Salem and Phillip Ray Joyce and wife, Bonnie of Walkertown; two sisters, Mary Joyce Noah of Lewisville and Charline Joyce Blythe and husband, Bob of Fort Walton Beach, FL; A number of special nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; and two sisters-in-law, Jo Ann Joyce and Noley Joyce. The funeral service will be conducted Monday at 12:30 PM at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel with Rev. Charles Turner and Rev. Dr. Ivan Peden officiating. Burial will follow in Crestview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM at the funeral home.
