William “Bill” Elwood Blair, 80, of Winston-Salem, NC passed away Monday, June 30, 2025, at his home.
Bill was born September 30, 1944, in Warren, Ohio, to Elwood Vincent Blair and Pearl Gray Blair. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy before retiring after 28 years of active-duty service. He spent many years with the Wise Company in food distribution. He was also the co-owner of BJ’s Diner in Charleroi, PA for six years.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by two brothers, John Blair, and Harry Blair. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Kaianna Blair; one daughter, Lisa Barnard (Tony); three sons, Ernie Dunn (Alix), Ira Dunn, and Pat Dunn (Robin); seven grandchildren, Renee Woodard (Dalton), Rachelle Anderson (Keith), Andrew Dunn, Jacob Dunn, Sam Dunn, Mary Stuart Dunn, and Jessica Mitchell; five great-grandchildren, Autumn, J.B., Blair, Skylar, and Connor; and two sisters, Katherine Klenovic, and Mary Jane Bequeath.
A funeral service will be held, with military honors, at 4 PM, Thursday, July 3, 2025, at the Robert F. Miller Center located at the Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. John Bishop officiating.
The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
