William "Bill" Allen Tittsworth

William “Bill” Allen Tittsworth, 78, passed away on December 24, 2025, in Winston-Salem, NC.

Bill was born on August 14, 1947, in Iredell County, NC, to Rev. Clifton A. Tittsworth and Carrie Rasor Tittsworth. He graduated from Gray High School and earned an associate's degree in accounting from Forsyth Technical Community College. Bill’s career was in trucking, which began at McLean Trucking, where he met the love of his life, Rita. He also worked at Pilot Freight Carriers and later at Old Dominion Freight Carriers, where he retired after 26 years as Director of Compensation and Employee Benefits. Bill also served on the Board of Directors for Members Credit Union, eventually becoming its Chairman.

Bill and Rita celebrated their 56th anniversary this past September. They enjoyed many years of traveling with friends and families to Europe, the Caribbean, and throughout the USA.

Bill was an avid golfer, making many lifelong friends throughout the years. Bill also enjoyed his rose garden and vegetable garden, which he shared with friends and neighbors.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, June Tittsworth Pettet; and brother, Larry Tittsworth. He is survived by his loving wife, Rita Miller Tittsworth; sister, Elaine Tittsworth Beck (Dick); sisters-in-law, Nancy Miller, Ginny Grover (Lynn), and Lily Shelton (JD); special loved one, Georgia Williams (Jimmy); several nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; and great-great nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at Pinedale Christian Church, 3395 Peters Creek Parkway, Winston-Salem, NC 27127, officiated by Pastor Matthew Sink and Pastor Bill McKenzie. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the church. A private family burial will occur at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Pinedale Christian Church’s Building Fund, 3395 Peters Creek Parkway, Winston-Salem, NC 27127.
