Mr. William Robert Blevins, 98, of Winston-Salem, passed away on Friday, December 19, 2025. Robert was born on October 1, 1927, in West Virginia to the late Gorman Edgar Blevins and Ada Cleary Blevins. Robert proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He had a long career as a machinist, retiring from AMP after decades of service. Robert was a longtime faithful member of Robinhood Road Baptist Church. He loved his church family and didn’t hesitate to invite his friends and neighbors to church. Robert never met a stranger, could fix anything, and was always willing to lend a hand when needed. Most importantly, Robert was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother. In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ella Sue Blevins; one daughter, Lorna Jean Sprinkle; four brothers and two sisters. Robert is survived by his children, Robin McCune (James), Barry Blevins, and Randy Blevins (Marla); grandchildren, Christopher Sprinkle (Rena), Lee Woodall (Amber), Ryan Sprinkle (Carolyn), Chad Blevins (Melissa), and Cameron Blevins; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Ray Blevins (Vea); one sister, Estelle Treadaway (David); and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 2pm on Monday, December 29, 2025, at Forsyth Memorial Park with Rev. John E. Hackworth, Jr. officiating. A private family visitation will be held at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Robinhood Road Baptist Church, 5422 Robinhood Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27106.
