William Branon

Reidsville- Mr. William Kenneth Branon, 83, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 20, 2017 at Avante Nursing Home. He was born on September 6, 1934 in Guilford County to Miles Ellis and Nellie Mae Angel Branon, Sr. William was a graduate of Kernersville High School. He was a faithful member of Charity Baptist Church. He loved to work on his computer and to watch his races and ballgames.

In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by one daughter, Beverly Jean Branon; one brother, Miles Ellis Branon, Jr.; and one sister, Esther Branon Holder.

He is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn S. Branon; his daughter, Carolyn "Susie" Wright and husband Richard; two sons, Roger Dale Branon and Michael Wayne Branon; four grandchildren, Daniel Branon, Nicole Gravly, Richie Wright, and Kimberly Patterson; and six great grandchildren, Jodi, Tyler, Nicholas, Bailey, Lexie, and Elizabeth.

A funeral service for William will be held at 3:30 pm on Monday, October 23, 2017 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with Dr. Roland Shepley officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:30 pm until 3:15 pm prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Charity Baptist Church at 4079 Battleground Ave, Greensboro, NC 27410.
