William "Bill" Creasy

William (Bill) Creasy, 90, died Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at Novant Forsyth Memorial Hospital after suffering a sudden and unexpected illness at home. He was born December 8, 1935, in Forsyth County to Walter Curtis Creasy and Sadie Johnson Creasy.

William graduated from Clemmons School in 1954 and later from Forsyth Technical Institute. He loved sports, especially baseball, excelling as a pitcher at Clemmons School. He married his high school sweetheart, Colleen Peoples, and they built a happy life together and raised two children, Ronny and Cindy.

William worked for Sheets Drive-In, Farmer's Dairy and Hanes Hosiery, where he played on the company softball team. He finished his work career after many years at Westinghouse Turbine Components Plant in King, NC. Outside of work, William enjoyed sports, cheering on the Tar Heels and Atlanta Braves, woodworking, collecting carved duck decoys, traveling and, most of all, spending family time at High Rock Lake.

Colleen passed away in 2015. In 2017, he married Katherine Gleeson. Katherine and William spent happy times together traveling, attending concerts and plays and spending time with their growing families.

William is survived by Katherine, children Cindy Barkley (Bruce) of Charlotte, Ronny Creasy (Windy Thompson) of Kure Beach, granddaughters Meredith Walker (Andrew), Kathleen Stutesman (Jack) and great-granddaughters Madelyn Walker and Eleanor Stutesman. Also surviving are his beloved brother- and sister-in-law Jerry and Diane Peoples, special nephew Andy Peoples, special cousin Sandra Gobble, and a host of other relatives. William also leaves behind many wonderful friends in his community, in his neighborhood at Trinity Elms and in his church, Clemmons First Baptist.

He was predeceased by wife Colleen; parents in-law, John and Mavis Peoples; parents Curtis and Sadie Creasy; and siblings Pokey Creasy, Paula Gaba, Julia Reed, and Nanette Spainhour.

Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, March 16, 2026 at Clemmons First Baptist Church with visitation from 12:30 pm until 2:00 pm.
