William Davis

William "Bill" R. Davis, 87, of Yadkinville (formerly of Winston-Salem) passed away on Friday, December 1, 2017 at Yadkin Nursing Care Center.
Bill was born on February 4, 1930 in Forsyth County to the late Oscar A. Davis and Lilian Owen Davis. He served in the U.S. Air Force and the Reserves during the Korean War. Bill was employed with Western Electric (AT&T) for 38 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Marion Ferguson; and a brother, Troy Davis.
Surviving family includes Betty Hepler, who along with her husband Don Hepler (who passed away in March of this year) were caretakers and very special friends of Bill throughout the years.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, with Bill McKenzie of Pinedale Christian Church officiating. Military honors will be provided by the U.S. Air Force and District 11 Memorial Honor Guard.
