William Gudger Dehart, Jr.

Mr. William Gudger Dehart, Jr. 86 of Kernersville passed away Sunday, February 21, 2016 at the Oaks at Forsyth. He was born May 2, 1929 in Forsyth County to William Gudger and Elsie Virginia Widener Dehart Sr. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served in the United States Navy four years from 1948 till 1952. He was retired from Lucent Techno Logics with 43 loyal years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents as well as his wife Lillie Scott Dehart. He is survived by two brothers James O. Dehart and wife Jean of Burlington, and Harmon L. Dehart and wife Patty of Wilkes County. A graveside service will be conducted Wednesday February 24 at 2:00 PM at Parklawn Memorial Park, with the Rev. John Bishop officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 - 1:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Liberty Homecare & Hospice Services at 1007 Lexington Avenue Thomasville NC 27360 United States.
