William "Bill" Brady Godfrey

Mr. William ""Bill"" Brady Godfrey, 62, died on Saturday, April 15, 2017, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Bill was born in Yadkin County on December 24, 1954, to Joseph Franklin Godfrey, Sr. and Shirley Carol Cheek. He graduated from Forbush High School and furthered his education earning an Associate Degree from Forsyth Technical Community College in Electronics. He retired from AT&T with many loyal years of service and enjoyed Harley Davidson motorcycles, online gaming, fishing, and spending time with his wife and family. Surviving are his loving wife of 22 years, Sandi Marlin Godfrey; two step-sons, Bruce Boughman (wife Christy) and Christopher Boughman (wife Amanda); two grandchildren, Michele Boughman and Charlie Boughman; one sister, Darla Godfrey (husband Ravon Davis); two brothers, Eric Godfrey (wife Lynn) and Jody Godfrey (wife Paula); six nieces; and two nephews. A memorial service will be held at 4pm on Saturday, April 22, 2017, Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Ln, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
