William Herman 'Buddy' Lawson Jr.

Mr. William Herman ""Buddy"" Lawson Jr., 72, passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem after a brief illness. He was born on March 14, 1940 to the late William Herman Lawson and Arlene Elizabeth Holland Lawson. Buddy was self employed in sanding and finishing hardwood floors working for over 50 years in the Winston-Salem and surrounding areas. Buddy is survived by a daughter, Kim Cruthis, two sons, Kelly Lawson ( Lynne) and Mark Lawson (Jamie) all of the Greensboro area, eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild, four sisters, Faye Bovender Moser, Ann Lawson, Sue Wilson and Peggy Lawson and two brothers, Roger Lawson and Bruce Lawson (Patricia). Buddy leaves behind many special friends, whose company he enjoyed everyday. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 4, 2012 at Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall with Rev. Herbert Mabe officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 this evening May 3, 2012 at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall. His children would like to send a special thanks to his brothers and sisters for all of the love and care that was shown in their father's time of need
