William Calvin Morris

KERNERSVILLE-William Calvin Morris, 82, passed away Friday, February 06, 2015. He was born May 18, 1932 in Guilford Co. to the late Brooks William and Rebecca Melissa Conrad Morris.

Mr. Morris was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, Sunday school teacher and on the finance committee. William served in the United States Army and was also a Mason .

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Landreth Crews Morris.

Surviving are his sister, Dottie Nell Morris of Kernersville; stepsons, Thomas Crews, III and wife, Rhonda of Walkertown, Teddy Ray Crews and wife, Gail of Colfax; grandchildren, Tonya, Derrick, Chip, Meghan and Amber; great-grandchildren, Ashley, Katie, Will, Ty, Peyton and Thomas.

A Funeral Service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, February 8, 2015 at Union Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Roberson and Dr. Bobby Roberson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service.
