William G. Morrissey

Mr. William G. Morrissey, 96, of Advance, NC passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born on June 30, 1927 to the late Mr. William J. Morrissey and Mrs. Gertrude Morriss Morrissey. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy who served during World War II. He retired from Ethan Allen as VP Manufacturing (Case Goods) in 1980. After moving to NC, he taught several years in the Furniture program at NC State and did consulting in furniture manufacturing and marketing.  Surviving are his wife, Francena Morrissey; three children, Janet Goodloe (Hallum), Carolyn Morrissey and David Morrissey; two grandchildren; five great- grandchildren and a half brother, John Morrissey (Sue).
