Mr. William Harrison Scott, 24, of Clemmons, passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2017. William was born in Forsyth County on March 3, 1993 to Claude Edward Scott IV of Lexington and Sara Harrison Scott of Clemmons. William graduated from West Forsyth High School in 2011. He was a member of Pine Grove United Methodist Church and an Eagle Scout of Troop 712. William had the most contagious smile and laugh, and was a beloved grandson, son, brother, cousin, nephew and friend. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sisters, Sara Elizabeth Scott, 20, and Katherine Ann Scott, 19, both of Clemmons; grandparents, Claude Edward Scott III (Debra) of Winston-Salem, John Branson and Maude Eloise ""Becky"" Harrison of Garner; 6 uncles; 6 aunts; and 16 first cousins. A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 16, 2017 at 2 pm at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel, with Rev. Marilyn Weiler and Rev. Sylvia Wilhelm officiating. A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2017 from 6-8 pm at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. Interment will be private at the request of the family. The family suggests that any desired memorials be made to Old Hickory Council or a drug prevention charity of your choice. Memorials for the Old Hickory Council may be sent to 6600 Silas Creek Parkway, Winston-Salem, NC 27106. Please include as a memo ""for Camp Raven Knob in memory of William H. Scott"".
