William "Bill" Meadows Tucker

Mr. William ""Bill"" Meadows Tucker, 81, passed away Thursday June 1, 2017 at his home. He was born on September 15, 1935 in Guilford County, NC to the late William Fenner Tucker and Lenis Ethel Gatewood Tucker. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Mae Mabe Tucker; twin brother, Robert Martin Tucker; older brother, Maryland ""Jack"" Tucker (Virginia); three sisters: Virginia Whitley (R.B.), Crystal Moore, and Dixie Morris (Winslow); and one step-son, Joe Pegram. He is survived by two step-daughters, Mozella Childress and Hattie Burton; two special grandchildren, Vickie Shaw and Ernest Shaw; 15 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; 65 great-great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Marie Williams and June Mecum; one brother-in-law, Norman Moore; also, numerous nieces and nephews. A Graveside service will be conducted 2:00 PM Saturday, June 10, at Belews Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Howard ""J.C."" Collins officiating.
